New Client Information

Welcome to Katy Pet Wellness Solutions! Thank you so much for coming to see us and trusting us with the care of your dog(s) or cat(s). We are very happy to meet you and your pets!

Be sure to visit our Services page for an ever expanding list of healthcare services we can offer your pets. Check out our About Us page to learn about our story, doctor, and staff.

What to Expect

When you choose us for your pet health needs, we do everything we can to meet the needs of you and your pet in an intimate, relaxed, and compassionate setting. Appointments are scheduled in 30 minute blocks; however, we will take as much time as needed to answer your questions and care for your pet. While appointment visits are seen first, we do accept walk-ins if you are unable to schedule ahead of time.

Before scheduling an appointment, we will need to review records to ensure your pet is receiving the recommended care. Vaccinations are administered based on the individual patient, their age, lifestyle, and previous vaccines administered. Sick patients or those seeing us with injuries will receive recommendations and treatments with current health status in mind, therefore, we will need history of medications (including preventatives and supplements), previous diagnostics performed, and any chronic conditions the pet is being treated for. Records may be sent to us via e-mail at [email protected] or fax at (281) 574-2587. Appointments may be delayed if records are not submitted ahead of time.

When you arrive, you will check in at the reception desk. New clients may have some paperwork to complete if it was not completed ahead of time. Pet parents must be at least 18, have a valid license, and be authorized to make decisions and payments for their pets.

At your visit, a technician will admit you and your pet then show you to an exam room. Your technician will gather your pet's history regarding their overall health, activity, diet information, chronic illnesses, medications, and any concerns for which your pet is being presented. The technician will also check your pet's vitals, collect samples for anticipated testing, and go over expected costs and recommendations. Afterward, the veterinarian will join you in the room, examine your pet, and go over exam observations and further recommendations. At the end of the visit, you will be taken back to the front desk to check out and receive any medication or foods prescribed. You can also go ahead and schedule your pet's next visit if needed.

For convenience and to keep appointments running smoothly we ask that the New Client Form be completed before your visit to save time at check in.

Payment

Payment is due at the time of services. We make every effort to go over anticipated costs prior to your visit and before providing any services. We will always recommend the best care for your pet and we want to make sure you know what to expect. We accept cash and most major credit cards. Should you need some financial assistance, we also accept Care Credit and Scratchpay.

Veterinary Emergencies

While we hope that all pets stay happy and healthy, injuries and accidents do occur. We are happy to see patients as emergencies during our regular business hours. Should an emergency occur outside of our regular hours, please take your pet to the practice listed below.
